Attorney Bradley Anderton Appeared on WBTV News About the Impact of Social Media on Judges
May 3rd, 2023: James Scott Farrin attorney Bradley Anderton recently appeared on WBTV News for a lengthy discussion of how different judges’ understanding of social media can affect the outcomes of court cases. Anderton shared how one of his cases was impacted back in 2021 by a judge’s snap impression of the accuser’s OnlyFans account. Anderton warns that the development of new social media platforms is often outpacing legal education requirements for lawyers and judges, and some judicial decisions are being made with a lack of context for how these new platforms are understood in society. Bradley calls on lawyers and judges to educate themselves on emerging technologies and social media so that they can reach more fair case outcomes.
