James Scott Farrin Partners With Local High School on Corporate Work Study Program
August 24th, 2021: As a Corporate Partner of Cristo Rey Research Triangle High School’s Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP), the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin will be a part of an innovative program that provides professional work experience to minority students. As a Corporate Partner, the firm will lease a team of four students from the CWSP from Labor Day until the end of May 2022 to work predominantly with its marketing team. Four James Scott Farrin Attorneys Inducted Into 2020 North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society
July 15th, 2021: Four attorneys from the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin were among those recently inducted into the 2020 North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society. The attorneys – Leila Hicks, Gary Jackson, Kevin Mahoney, and Anabel Rosa – were recognized for their “substantial and valuable” contributions to the state. Ronnie Long Civil Case Moves Forward
May 12th, 2021: "Whether it's 1976 or 2021, the injustice that Ronnie Long experienced should never happen in our criminal justice system.” That begins the statement recently issued by Long’s attorneys, including James Scott Farrin’s Coleman Cowan and Hoyt Tessener. Long was wrongly imprisoned for over 44 years before finally being granted a pardon of innocence in 2020. The civil case was filed on May 3, 2021 in Raleigh federal court.
