James S. Farrin Receives First Patent for Work With Growpath

March 28th, 2019: James S. Farrin was granted his first patent for his work with legal case management software, GrowPath. The patent was one of five that GrowPath received from the US Patent and Trademark Office between January 15 and February 19. Started by the firm, GrowPath is now its own separate company and entity.

March 21st, 2019: The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin was a Grand Sponsor of Campbell Law School’s 10/40 gala, which celebrated the law school’s 40th birthday, as well as the 10th anniversary of the law school’s move from its main campus to downtown Raleigh. The firm was also a Gold Sponsor of the law school’s SBA Classic Fundraiser Golf Tournament.

New Farrin Shareholder Jeremy Maddox

January 18th, 2019: Personal injury attorney, Jeremy Maddox, was named a shareholder of the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin. Jeremy has been involved in hundreds of cases, including one of the largest civil-rights cases in U.S. history. Known as the Black Farmers Discrimination Litigation, it dealt with the U.S. government’s discrimination against African-American farmers.

December 20th, 2018: Attorneys Matthew Healey and Michael Roessler were recently certified by the North Carolina State Bar as Board-Certified Specialists in Workers' Compensation law. Board certification represents the highest level of specialization lawyers can reach in the legal industry in North Carolina. Less than 1% of lawyers licensed in NC are board certified workers' compensation specialists. Healey has over 16 years of experience practicing workers' compensation law and Roessler more than seven.
